Sound of a door opening with some squeak and the sound of the handle being opened. Needs some eq, but this is raw file i recorded.

Digital noise made from raw binary files extracted from hdd with hexplorer using raw import function in audacity. Files were 4, each made from 200 sectors. I modified each sound using filters and joined them together to make longer looping example. Good to use in a game or 3d video animation as background ambient noise. Audacity and hexplorer are freeware and you can make similar job with them. . .

Then the file my_hard_drive has been imported as raw by audacity sound editing program with attributes:. Signed 16 bit pcm with no byte order 2 channels (whatever. . . ) stereo, 44100 hz. This sound differs from that which can be played just by command "cat /dev/sda1 > /dev/dsp" - this last command plays sound through speakers instead of writing a file. The sound is closer to sound of 56k modem. Later i will upload it (i've just connected line-out of sound card to it's microphone slot).

Recorded on a zoom h2n at crosby beach in liverpool on the 29/08/20 wind was 15mph. Biplane flies directly overhead followed by a few mins of beach ambience. File has been noise reduced with izotope software. If anyone requires the original raw wav file then drop me a message.

Some raw one-shots from my doepfer a-100 modular synthesizer recorded and edited using ni maschine. In my ears they sound way better with a bit of compression, but i thought the unprocessed files would be more useful. Naming is super vague. Recorded back in may 2014. Channeling the /dev/sda1 hard drive partition into a file. At last i've imported the raw file properly as the 8-bit unsigned linear pcm. This is 8bit mono 44100 hz windows wave. Lots of strange digital sounds. Quite useful for noise and experimental musicians. Interesting that if we just do cat /dev/sda1 > /dev/dsp we hear different sound more like modem 56k. I also made a record of it. See my files.

Glitchy robot scream, made for a game with robot enemies. I made it by using audacity's "import raw data" function to import random program files which creates all kinds of crazy noises. (all the sounds in this pack came from the files of an emulated ps2 game. ) i then put a vocoder on the sounds i found to make them sound even more robotic.

Then i used audacity to import raw data in form of the picture. The resulting sound is obvious if you click the play button on my sample. Sometimes i regret being so stubborn, only using analog modules in my modular. How easy it should have been creating cool rhythms for the drums with a digitalclock generator or having a nice wave table oscillator etc. . . . Today, i admit, i once again was looking at a digital clockgenerator. How would care!?same sequence as in electronic minute no 105, but slower. And i have added someeasy modular analog. . . . Drums and a bonus sound. Play with it. In the end the drums are alone!the wav-file is raw! no editing at all. Yes i should record via my h1. . . But it'sso easy to use the mic in on my laptop.
